Electrically Operated Product was the first album by the Toronto indie rock band Hummer. It was recorded and mixed over the 1995 Christmas holidays and released some time in 1996.
I'd like to say that this record only sold a handful of copies but that everyone who bought it went on to start a band. Neither of those things are true.
Hummer made one more album Kill Bad Radio but disbanded in 1997 without releasing it.
Brian Poirier and David MacKinnon went on to form the FemBots in 1998 and around the same time Mark Hansen joined Ron Hawkins in the Rusty Nails.

Hummer were a short lived Toronto rock & roll band that came together in the lull between the Toronto indie rock booms of the early 90's and early 2000's.
The band was made up of Brian Poirier, David MacKinnon and Mark Hansen. They were joined by Ron Hawkins for their second record and live shows. Poirier and MacKinnon went on to found FemBots. Hansen and Hawkins went on to the Rusty Nails. ... more
